Soesja Zuiderwijk

Consultant

Since October 2024, I have been working as an advisor at Decisio. I hold a master’s degree in economics, specializing in Environmental Economics and Development Economics. Additionally, at the VU, I completed specializations in environmental economics, regional and urban economics, and transport economics for the master’s program in Spatial, Transport & Environmental Economics (STREEM). This educational background reflects my broad range of interests. I am driven by the desire to create societal impact and aim to find solutions to societal issues. As a consultant at Decisio, my research and counsel express my drive and interests. I conduct both qualitative and quantitative analyses, enjoying the variety and challenges that assignments provide. I also enjoy learning from the way Decisio transforms complex analyses into understandable language. Moreover, Decisio enables personal development. For instance, I have been delving into PowerBI to improve data visualization, which gives me the opportunity to communicate data in an interactive, understandable visual format. Ultimately, impact is realized by powerfull communication. Language and visuals are key to presenting the research outcomes. Therefore, it is my duty to keep learning and acquire the necessary skills to benefit society.

Outside of work?

Exploration! This manifests in various sports activities (e.g., squash and salsa), discovering new places in Amsterdam with friends like culinary outings, parties, and concerts. The cultural agenda is certainly not lacking. Additionally, I like to co-solve cryptograms weekly with a friend. I also engage in creative projects ranging from making jewelry to building a balcony bar/table. As long as there is something to learn or discover, I am enthusiastic and gladly drag my friends along on such quests.
