Menno de Pater has been a consultant with Decisio since 2008. He obtained his Masters degree in Economics at the University of Tilburg, and wrote his Masters thesis about local bicycle policy in the Netherlands. Other subjects which gained his attention during his study were competition policy and problems of ageing. Menno also likes to research the impact of policy on society as a whole and has a wide interest in public economics.
Within Decisio, he is mainly active in the fields of Transport Economics, Economic Impact Studies, Competiton Poilcy and Policy Evaluation. Examples of projects which Menno has been involved are: the impact of moving flights from Schiphol Airport to regional airports, a cost-benefit anaylisis of the implementation of the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) in Dutch railway infrastructure and studies regarding tourism in the Noord-Holland province.
