Kees van Ommeren is founder and partner of Decisio. After his studies in transport and business economics he worked for four years at the Ministry of Transport where he worked as policy advisor on transport issues. During this period he familiarised himself with policy processes, after which he qualified in consultancy work, first at KPMG and thereafter at Decisio.
Kees has been responsible for a large number of consultancy projects in the area of transport economics, market surveys and spatial economics. Typical projects are social cost benefit analyses, business cases and economic impact studies. Sustainable transport, bicycling and investments in infrastructure and economic sectors are subjects Kees has worked on in the last couple of years, both in the Netherlands and Europe and other continents. Throughout his career, Kees specialised in supporting governments and regional authorities in the advancement of their policy strategies.
